Modified Children’s Hunter Added for 2010 CHSA Finals

For the 2010 CHSA Finals, the CHSA Finals Committee is adding a demonstration division for Children Equitation riders – Modified Children’s Hunter with a fence heigh of 2′6″.
The Modified Children’s Hunter Division will only be open to riders who qualify for the 2010 CHSA Finals Children’s Equitation Medal and who show in the CHSA Children’s Equitation Medal at the 2010 CHSA Finals. The Modified Children’s Hunter Division will run on Saturday, August 28th and the Children’s Equitation Medal will run on Sunday, August 29th. Questions? Please email chsa@chsaonline.com.

Open to junior riders who have qualified for the 2010 CHSA Finals Children’s Equitation Medal. Riders may show horses or ponies. Fence height 2′6″. No Combinations permitted.

Remember the rules for qualifying:
Equitation/Hunter/Pleasure - Top 20 horses who have 25 points or more will qualify except CHSA English Pleasure the Top 20 horses who 12 points or more will qualify.
CHSA Medal Classes - Top 30 riders who have 12 points or more. Once you reach 70 points you automatically qualify for the 2010 CHSA Finals for that Medal Class and you are exempt from showing in that Medal Class for the rest of the showing season.
The 2009 qualifying period runs from December 1, 2009 until Sunday, August 8, 2010. The last show to qualify will be the Mystic Valley Hunt Club Premiere Show held on Sunday, August 8, 2009.

2010 Dates To Remember
June 3, 2010
The 2010 CHSA Finals will be held Saturday, August 28 and Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Westbrook Hunt Club, Westbrook, CT. The CHSA Finals provide a year end showcase to encourage and promote interest in the beginner and intermediate classes and/or divisions for all members of CHSA with any surplus funds to benefit the CHSA Scholarship Fund.
Dates to Remember:
- Wednesday, August 11, 2010 – Qualified Finals Riders/Horses announced in CHSA Finals web site and mailed invitations.
- Friday, August 13, 2010 – Tent Table Reservations due.
- Wednesday, August 18, 2010 – Stall Reservation Forms due.
- Friday, August 20, 2010 – Deadline for Entry Forms and payment.
- Friday, August 27, 2010 – Order of Go posted on CHSA Finals web site
- Saturday, August 28 – Sunday, August 29, 2010 – 2010 CHSA Finals Horse Show
