The 2015 CHSA FINALS
The results are Final and below are the 2015 CHSA Finals Class Standings.  Invitations are being emailed to all qualified finalists.  If you are an alternate – please check this list daily, as we will update your alternate status as we confirm riders have “moved up” or scratched. As Entry Forms and checks are received they will be in the comment section of the Finals Class Standing List below.

Invitation: If you are qualified you do not need to wait for your email,  you can view the invitation package online. (PDF)  You can print out the forms and follow the directions to send in your entry forms or see below for entering online and paying with a credit card/paypal.

Payment by Paypal or Credit Card is available for all forms for an extra fee.  Go to www.chsafinals.com/forms.  You can fill out your forms online and pay online with Paypal or a credit card.  The entry form must still be signed, mailed or faxed (203-889-3000) to CHSA Finals and received by Friday, August 7, 2015 at 6:00pm.

Lead Rein – Once again, by popular request, the Finals Committee is offering– a Lead Rein Demonstration Class at the 2015 CHSA Finals on Saturday, August 22, 2015. View Lead Rein information and an Entry Form.

Reminder Class Show Requirements – Each CHSA Finals class must have a minimum of 10 entries to be eligible to run at the CHSA Finals show and receive ribbons and prizes.  If, at the entry deadline, there are fewer then 10 entries for a class, then the following will occur:
  • Less then 10 entries but more then 5 at the entry deadline, the class will run but with no prizes only ribbons. (ie 5 – 9 entries)
  • Less then 5 entries the class will not run and entry fees will be refunded. If the entry is only participating in one class the office fee and stall fees will also be refunded. If the entry is also participating in other classes only the canceled class fee will be refunded. (ie 4 – 1 entries)

The Show Committee may, at its discretion, designate a lower minimum number of qualifying points for any given Year End Division. For more details – see the CHSA Finals rules and regulations at http://www.chsafinals.com/rules-and-regulations/

Morgan Stanley Hunter Derby

Once again this year the 2015 CHSA Finals will include a Hunter Derby to be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015 and sponsored by Morgan Stanley Wealth Management.

Only riders and/or horses already entered in jumping classes at the 2015 CHSA Finals may enter into the 2015 CHSA Hunter Derby.  The Derby will consist of 3 classes with fence heights of: 18”, 2’, and 2’6”.  Only 1 entry per horse per height will be allowed.  Only 25 entries per class based on time receipt of entry.  We will keep a wait list.  Get your entries in early and consider using our online entry system.
CHSA Finals Hunter Derby Classes:
  1. 18” Hunter Derby – open to riders and horses/ponies entered in Short Stirrup, 18″ CT Training Hunter classes at the 2015 CHSA Finals.
  2. 2’ Hunter Derby – open to riders and horses entered in Pre-Children’s Hunter and Medal, 2’3” Children’s Equitation Medal, CT Training Hunter 2’ and 2’3” and Children’s Hunter Pony (Small and Medium). at the 2015 CHSA Finals.
  3. 2’6” Hunter Derby – open to riders and horses entered in Children’s Equitation Medal, Modified Children’s Hunter, Modified Adult Amateur Medal and Hunter, Children’s Hunter Pony (Large), Children’s Hunter Horse, Adult Amateur Hunter, CT Training Hunter 2’6”, and Low Training Jumpers at the 2015 CHSA Finals and Adult Amateur Hunter.

Please remember: The CHSA Finals is for Amateurs (in accordance with USEF Amateur Status Rules) and Juniors only, no Professionals will be allowed to enter and/or compete at the CHSA Finals including the Hunter Derby Classes.

The 10 highest-scoring horse-and-rider combinations after the first round of each class are eligible to return for the second round. The pair with the highest two-round score is declared the class winner.
